Citrus-scented, large blooms on long stems.
4–4 1/2″ lushly layered double blooms. Petals are slightly ruffled and feathered at the edge. A 2001 introduction and a sport of the ‘Verona’ tulip. Though Marie Jo is classified as a Double Early Tulip, it timed well with the Double Late-flowering group in our trials. 12 cm+ bulb size. 1 unit = 1 bulb. NOTE: Bulbs do not come pre-chilled; if growing in hardiness Zones 8–10, see growing information (below) for pre-chilling instructions.

- Pair well with Single Early and Darwin Hybrid Tulips as they have a similar bloom period (mid-spring)
- Bloom early May in our outdoor trials
- Do not naturalize/perennialize readily
- Grow best in Zones 3–7
